Found an image on Unsplash that I liked, and focused on the flowers first. I then decided I liked it without ?finishing? the window and wall. This piece was entered into the Dayton (Ohio) Society of Artists member show and sold opening weekend.

Once a year my painting sisters and I get together and spend a week painting. We like to try new techniques or tools. This year we tried mineral paper-so I tried an abstract landscape. So fun!

Title or Location: Texas Bluebonnets
My wife suggested I should do a painting with bluebonnets in it. I used a composite of pictorial reference but decided to keep it loose and expressive.

Title or Location: Magnolia?s Embrace
I have several Magnolia trees in my yard and this is one of the flowers from this years blooms. The mockingbird is straight out of my imagination, and the combination of it with the flower gives the viewer a taste of spring in the South.
